The girls got to go to the lake this weekend with their Sisa and Papaw. They had such a fun time. Chloe loved the boat especially when it was moving. It reminded me a lot of Abby when she was a baby. Abby loved swimming in the lake and jumping off of the boat to her daddy's arms. It was a proud yet sad moment when she was swimming all on her own. I cannot believe how big our girl is getting and Chloe is growing up right behind her.

Long Time, No Post

Hello! Sorry it's taken so long to post. Hopefully I will be able to post more often now. The girls are getting so big and each are so different from the other.

Abby is my wild child. She has no fear and loves to push her boundaries. I know the boundary pushing is typical of all two year olds but it seems to be one of her favorite things to do. Abby always has energy no matter how much sleep she does or doesn't get. It's exhausting and I wish I could just have a quarter of her energy. Abby has learned her ABCs and can count to 15. She loves to ask people what their name and their favorite color. Her favorite color is pink. Everything has to be pink. Abby plays hard and loves hard. She has to be one of the most loving people I know. She just wants to please everyone except for when it's time to lay down and sleep. She will fight tooth and nail to stay awake.

Chloe, I believe, is our old soul. She just had her two month appointment today. She weighs 10 lbs 11 oz and is 22.5 inches long. That puts her at the 50th percentile for both height and weight. She is wonderful. Chloe loves to sleep and has been sleeping through the night with just two exceptions from the day we brought her home. It's as if HE knew I couldn't take two wild girls. Chloe has started to really smile and coo. It's adorable and she just absolutely ADORES Abby. Whenever Abby is around Chloe's attention is fixed on her and normally she has a big smile on her face. Recently I have found Abby climbing into Chloe's bassinet. It scares me silly catching her in there. I thought Chloe was safe in there but I guess when Abby's involved nobody's safe :) Chloe loves it though....she sits there smiling from ear to ear.

I am going to stop my rambling and post some fun pictures. I hope all is well.

Catch-Up

Hello all.

So sorry it's been so long since I've updated Abby's blog. As most of you already know I am pregnant with our second little girl. Being pregnant coupled with a energetic 2 year old my free time is spent sleeping.

Abby has been doing very well. She's growing up so fast and her vocabulary is just so large now. Abby talks all the time even in her sleep.

This Christmas season has been fun. She knows who Santa and the snowman are but doesn't really put it all together. I guess if we keep having 60 degree days in December she'll never really grasp the concept of a snowman ha ha.

My pregnancy has gone very well. I am currently 27 1/2 weeks along and just had our most recent ultrasound yesterday. Baby looks healthy and doesn't want her picture to be taken...much like her big sister.

Abby loves to dance. The other morning she wouldn't dance until she put on a hat. Any hat worked but she had to have a hat on. Here's a short video of her showing off her moves.

Welcome Fall!!

We celebrated the first day of October by going to the St. James Art Festival. It was super crowded but Abby hasn't missed it since she's been born.
