1st Father's Day!

Hello family and friends. This past weekend Abby and I celebrated her wonderful daddy. It was nice to have him home for the whole day. We started off the morning by going to the early bird service at church. We normally attend the late service at 11 but we thought we would check out the 8:30 service. It was so empty. We are so use to getting in there and trying to find a place towards the back to sit but at the early service we had almost the whole church to pick from. It was a great sermon one that we both enjoyed. Since it was so early Abby stayed awake for the whole thing. She played, talked, and sang. We always get a little nervous when she gets loud but we got so many comments about how wonderful it was to hear a baby's voice so early in the morning. Even Pastor Gibson had complimented Abby to us and he was at the front of the church. It was weird to have the whole day after church.

We then had a nice breakfast and a long nap. We took Haley and Abby to the park. It was so hot outside that we weren't able to spend too much time outside. Afterwards we drove down to Bardstown and spent the rest of the afternoon with Josh's dad. It was such a great day. We are so grateful for the gift He had given us when He blessed us with Abby. It truly is amazing how someone so small can make your world so much brighter. Please enjoy our pictures from Josh's first Father's Day. I hope all you other fathers had a splendid day as well.

Shower Time

Abby has become quite the daddy's girl. Her whole face lights up when Josh comes home from work. It's so precious how much she adores him. Today they took a shower together.

Gymboree

Today Josh and I took Abby to Gymboree. If you're not familiar with Gymboree it's a place where children of all ages can play and learn. Today we played with three 7 month olds and one other 9 month old. We had such a great time. We really weren't sure what to expect but we are looking forward to going back next week. We are going to do one more class for the 6 - 9 month olds and I think the last two classes we are going to participate in the 10 - 16 month olds. We are hoping that will give her the motivation to start walking. Of course I took pictures....

They had her crawl up a ramp. Once she got a hold of those maracas she did not want to let them go.

They called this "the octagon". This is suppose to help her walk better and she really had fun pushing it.

Tons and tons of bubbles.

All the parents shook the bubbles off the parachute. Abby thought that this was very fun.

I think Abby's favorite part was when we played soccer. She loved kicking the ball. We were very proud of Abby because she was such a happy baby and she really seemed to be doing very well for her age. Seeing her smile so big was so rewarding to Josh and I. It was also great for her to have interaction with other children. It was so fun watching them communicate and interact with one another.

Summer Days!

Hello all! Today Abby had a wonderful day at the zoo with Jake and his friends from Husky Hideout. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of them all together.

Abby's new favorite food is mashed potatoes. I made some taters this week for her and she loved them. She especially loved feeding herself! Here are a couple of pictures and I also got a video of her trying to put her head inside the bowl.

And for the first time this week Abby was able to wear a barrette in her hair. It doesn't look like she has much but it's so blond its hard to see. She didn't mess with the barrette that much and I think she looks really cute with it. I also love how blue her eyes look in this picture.

9 Months Already!!!

It's hard to believe that our little girl is already nine months old. Abby is growing and learning more and more everyday. It is an amazing and awesome thing to observe.

Abby had her nine month appointment on Wednesday. This time we saw the nurse practitioner Nurse Adams. We love the doctors that we see but it seems like we are able to get more time with the nurse. She had nothing but great things to say about Abby. As of Wednesday she weighed 19 lbs and 13 ounces which put her in the 50th - 75th percentile. And she was 27.5 inches long which is also in the 50th percentile. She was so impressed with how well she is moving and crawling. During this visit she got her third and last Hep B shot and they also took some blood to test a few things one of these things being lead. Unfortunately her lead count was higher than they would like it to be so we are having our water tested to make sure its not the pipes. We have to bring her back in to the doctor's in two months to recheck her levels.

Here is Abby getting her temperature taken. She was all smiles that day.

Abby showing off her first band-aid. (Mommy's favorite color)

And the last picture is her in one of my old dresses. You can also see her two teeth.

We hope that everyone is having a safe and fun summer. Tomorrow Abby and I are off to a girl's weekend to the lake. This will be Abby's first time on a lake. I will take ton of pictures!!

XOXO
