This first video is when she first went into the water. You can tell she didn't like it much at all at the beginning.
Here is Abby swimming with me. She still isn't sure if she likes it or not.
Then we put her life jacket on and she just kicked back and relaxed. Here she is with Josh just hanging out.

Swimming Pool
Ever since Abby was two weeks old Josh has been so excited to get her in the swimming pool. Convinced she's going to be a swimmer he wanted to get her in the water as early as possible. Abby is now 8 1/2 months old and we are just now getting her to the pool. I guess better late than never. Abby really seemed to like it after she got use to the temperature. At first she got upset but by the time we had to leave she just loved floating in her life jacket.
We took pictures and video but the video is taking a while to upload so here are the pictures and the video will follow shortly.

She's A Moving!!
Abby has become quite the crawler!! It's amazing to watch her because she is just so curious and such an adventurer that when she sees something that interests her there's no slowing down. Abby is also pulling up on everything and anything she can get her hands on. I believe walking is just a couple months away. It has been wonderful watching her grow and learn. Josh filmed her crawling yesterday. I apologize for the crazy camera work and Haley getting into almost every shot.
Abby & the Peony
These are just a pictures of Abby on our front porch swing. I gave her a peony from our backyard and she wasn't sure what to think of it. We had a great time that morning on the swing. We took a few with our regular camera and it was so weird getting actual film developed.
There is a tooth in there and another making its way!!
The Craziness of Daddy Coming Home
As most of you guys know Josh is a firefighter and spends every third night at the station. When he gets home in the mornings it can be quite the spectacle between Haley and Abby. They both get so very excited to see him. Here is a little video of the two girls and their reactions to Josh coming home from a night at the station.
Abby Jumping
Hello everyone! I am sorry it's been so long since I have last posted. There's nothing to blame it on besides pure laziness. The heat has come to Louisville. It has been in the high 80s the past few days and it is HOT!! We took a long walk to the library yesterday and we were beat by the time we got home.
Today I took a video of Abby jumping in her jumper. She really likes this contraption and has gotten the hang of actually pulling back and swinging forward. Abby is such a happy baby and we are truly blessed!! I hope you all enjoy the video. I am also going to upload some more today and post them.
Take care,
Kristen, Josh and Abby

Mother's Day
We would like to wish all of you guys a Happy Mother's Day. I hope that your days have been as wonderful as mine. Josh took Abby and I up to Mt. Adams in Cincy for the day. This place is one of my very favorite places to go especially Eden Park. We went to the art museum and we tried to see the butterfly exhibit at Krohn's Conservatory but it was too late and the line was very long. But we have passes so we can return one day during the week when it's not so busy. We finished our day having lunch at Mt. Adams Bar & Grill, another favorite of mine. All in all it was a wonderful day.

Talk Derby To Me
This past weekend was the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. But for Abby it was her first of many to come. The weather was crazy in Louisville this year. There were talks of postponing the race and running it under our new lights. We celebrated the day with friends and some friendly gambling. This year I bet on our birth months, 3-4-9. Fortunately for me number 4 was Super Saver riden by the horse genius Calvin Borel. We won in the dollar pot and on our $2.00 bet. Woo-hoo. Since he was the favorite the payout wasn't tremendous but I'll take a $16.00 profit. Here is a picture of our favorite jockey.
Pampers Dry Max
Hello friends and family!
We hope that everyone is doing well. Unfortunately Abby has developed a bad diaper rash. She's never had any complications before but we started using Pampers Dry Max and she swelled up badly. It had the appearance of a burn and at spots bled. You have to excuse me for the description but I wanted to let other's out there know about Pampers and that Abby isn't an isolated case. After further reading it appears that there are babies out there with burns much worst than Abby's. If you see some of these pictures and read the painful stories of the mothers out there trying to comfort their babies you would agree with me. P&G is chalking it up to diaper rashes but the fact that they just released a new and "improved" diaper and then these babies without previous history begin breaking out and bleeding is no coincidence. I only wish I knew this before and I would have taken pictures to include in my report to the CPSC. Please if you know of any parents of babies in diapers out there let them know that this is going on so if their child breaks out they may know what maybe causing the outbreak. It has been a sad week for parents out there after the massive recall on children's medications and then reading this below article. It's hard to know what you can trust giving to your children.
