First Spagetti Dinner

Here are a few pictures of Abby's first spagetti dinner. She tried being clean and particular about how she ate it. In the end she embraced the messiness of all that is spagetti. It was so much fun!!

Oops

I meant to add these pictures on the last post. Family photos.

Whitney's Wedding

Abby attended her first wedding last weekend. We drove up to Bloomington, IL to attend Whitney and Phil's wedding. It was a beautiful day and they picked a gorgeous vineyard to have their ceremony. Here are some pictures of the bride and groom. I've also attached a couple of pictures Megan's husband Andy had taken of Abby. They turned out great!

Idaho or Bust

Hello friends and family. I apologize that it's been so long since I've lasted posted an update. We have been so busy the past few weeks.

As most of you may know Abby, Josh and I accompanied dad, Kristi, and Jake to Idaho. It all began early on Sunday morning when we left our home at 2:30 to drive to Indy to catch our flight. Our flight left Indy around 6:30 in the morning. Abby was such a trooper!! At take off she fell asleep. Here is a picture of Abby on her first airplane ride.

Our flight arrived in Salt Lake City and from there we drove 5 hours to Boise, ID.  Here's a picture of Abby on our drive. Again, I can't begin to tell you how proud we are of Abby.

Once we arrived in Boise, needless to say, Abby was exhausted. The events of the day finally caught up to her. We had planned on going to visit my Great Grandmother Lloyd that evening but Abby was so pooped that we decided that for grandma to meet the real Abby it would be best if we waited. So the three of us got a good night's sleep.  Here is the make shift bed we made for Abby. We just pushed two chairs together and it worked!!

The next evening my Aunt Cookie and Uncle Llyn had the family over at their home. There we got to meet all of our cousins that hadn't met yet. It was great meeting more family. It was also such a blessing for Abby to meet her Great Great Grandma Lloyd. We kept it a surprise for grandma and boy was she surprised to meet Abby and Josh both!

 5 Generations!!

Josh was able to go white water kayaking while we were in Boise. As you know Josh is quite the adrenaline junkie and he loves the water so this was the perfect adventure for him.  Josh, Jake and dad all three went as us girls followed along on the road taking pictures and video. Jake swam quite a bit and dad wiped out once. This left Josh the only dry one! Dad and Josh made a bet that they had to buy the other a beer if they wiped out...dad made good on his bet with a Moose Drool Ale.

While we were out west Abby was able to enjoy the natural hot springs mother nature has to offer. It was such a gorgeous day! These hot springs are along a river (forget the name) but it has very very cold water so you're able to cool off your little area by moving rocks and allowing more water flow from the river. I wish we had one of these in our backyard!!

We drove over to Stanley, Idaho and stayed at Redfish Lake Lodge. We had a really nice cabin there where on the first night the boys had to catch a bat that was in our cabin. Abby and I laid in bed listening to them try to catch it (this was very funny).  Here are some pictures of the rest of our trip. The west has a lot of beautiful scenery to offer and at times I find myself missing the mountains in the horizon.

 After the rain and hail.

Abby and daddy on our hike.

Abby began really walking on our trip. Here with some help we walk the pier on Redfish Lake.

Camel's Back park. That was a very steep climb.

And of course there is always time to swing!
