Catch-Up

Hello all.

So sorry it's been so long since I've updated Abby's blog. As most of you already know I am pregnant with our second little girl. Being pregnant coupled with a energetic 2 year old my free time is spent sleeping.

Abby has been doing very well. She's growing up so fast and her vocabulary is just so large now. Abby talks all the time even in her sleep.

This Christmas season has been fun. She knows who Santa and the snowman are but doesn't really put it all together. I guess if we keep having 60 degree days in December she'll never really grasp the concept of a snowman ha ha.

My pregnancy has gone very well. I am currently 27 1/2 weeks along and just had our most recent ultrasound yesterday. Baby looks healthy and doesn't want her picture to be taken...much like her big sister.

Abby loves to dance. The other morning she wouldn't dance until she put on a hat. Any hat worked but she had to have a hat on. Here's a short video of her showing off her moves.

Welcome Fall!!

We celebrated the first day of October by going to the St. James Art Festival. It was super crowded but Abby hasn't missed it since she's been born.

Our Growing Girl

Abby went to see her doctor last week for her two year check-up. She weighs 27 pounds which puts her in the 50th percentile and she is 33" inches tall which puts her in the 25th percentile. The doctor was impressed with her and said she is following her growth curve nicely.

The next day we took off the rails to her bed and made it a "big girl bed". She loves it. I find her climbing in it throughout the day. She has yet to fall asleep in the bed because she has been so tired she falls asleep early either on the couch or in the car. So hopefully it'll be no trouble going to sleep in her bed.

Abby has also gone to the bathroom on the big girl potty. Guess what her reward was...lotion! The girl loves her lotion! Ha Ha! She has shown a lot of signs of being ready to potty train but I was hoping to put it off until after our vacation to Florida.

We joined our friends the Dykes camping a few weeks back. Abby had such a great time playing with her friend Bella. We also went a three mile hike the next day! It was a gorgeous weekend and it was so much fun. Can't wait to do it again!

C-A-R-D-S

Abby has becomer her daddy's sidekick when it comes to watching the Cards games. We took her to her first game a couple of weeks ago. She also got dressed up in her cheerleading outfit (pom poms included) and cheered the Cards on past the Cats last night. She loves to say "GO CARDS" as we pass the stadium on the expressway. Josh's face lights up every time!!

Abby just had her second birthday party! It is so hard to believe she's in her 2s now!! It seems like yesterday we were awaiting her arrival! We threw her party yesterday. Abby had such a great time having all the people she loved under one roof! She definatley loves to have an audience! Here are some of the pictures from her birthday party!

Outdoor Movies

When I was younger my brothers and I would regularly go up to Kankakee to visit my cousins. One of the many activities I remember doing while we were up there was going to the ampitheater and listening to music. My aunt and uncle would bring snacks and a blanket. Well a few weeks ago Josh and I brought Abby to see an outdoor movie. We brought our blanket and listened to a guy play his guitar and sing. We weren't able to stay for the movie but it was so much fun and it was free. It was such an awesome family adventure. And of course there are pictures!!

Abby Goes Boating

Abby and I recently went to Rough River Lake to visit my mom and Phillip on their vacation. They took us out on the boat and Abby loved it. She loved going fast but slept all the way back.

Neigh!!!

Abby has fallen in love with "days" or horses. She calls them "days" because that's how she says 'neigh'. She also calls ducks 'quacks'. Abby has fallen in love with animals...every kind of animal. Everyday she falls asleep to her favorite video which is all animals. Here are a few pictures of Abby and her first encounter with a "days".

Busy Bee

I am so sorry that it's been so long since I posted on here. We have been so busy playing and having fun. Abby is doing very well. She is currently on break from school so we have been trying to find things to keep her busy and momma too!! We are only 3 months away from her second birthday! I cannot believe how quickly time flies. Here are some pictures that we've taken of all our fun. We hope this finds everyone in great health and spirits.

Abby has been doing a lot the past couple of weeks. Thank goodness since this rain seems to be sticking around for a little while. Here are some pictures from her past few fun days out and about.

Parent's Day Out

Today was Abby's first day at Parent's Day Out. She is going to a program at St. Matthew's Baptist Church one day a week. She did a wonderful job...not one tear shed. We didn't expect anything less from our social butterfly. I think it made it easier for me that she was so ok with being there on her own. Here are a few pictures from her day.
